I'm getting a touch screen hardware error. Any ideas would be appreciated.
-
My first guess would be either the touch screen controller went bad or the wiring to it is loose. Have you tried calibrating the touch screen or can you not get that far?

I played with most of the wires and plugs. Machine will boot, I can get to the test screen where the LCD tests are but the calibration button is missing from where it usually is located.
I fear the controller went bad. Any ideas where to find one? I have a few other top boxes I'll try pulling one of those but I hate to touch the wiring on working top boxes because they are so fragile as it is.
Thanks
Rich

Lindlam or Idesign might have parts for those, but if you've got one on a spare to confirm it's bad, that might be the way to go. Not sure why people have such problems with these, other than parts going, which happens. I've got 2 that have been running for like 5 years now with no issues other than a denom touch pad going bad, but those are their own seperate nightmare and have nothing to do with the game they're being used in

I agree I have had few issues with Reel Touch. I have four of them but every time I have to go into the top boxes they tend to be a real pain. I end up fixing one thing and something else in the top box goes wrong. Wires and plugs are brittle in mine.

Yep, that would pose a problem. Hope it's a simple fix on the controller

Replaced controller :cool_thumb_up:
