Title: Bally's game magic saferam reset chips

I am working on a 1990 ballys game magic, and it has experienced a saferam failure, the slot uses a v8000 mbu, which was apparently mainly sent to  south africa, does anyone have the ram clear chips for a v8000, thanks!

For gamemagic v800 does not require a chip.only dipsw1-8 on for saferam clear. :wave:

Problem solved!


To reset the ram on a ballys game magic slot-
-Turn off power
-Remove mpu
- switch dipsw1 #8 to on
-Reinstall mpu
-power up machine
- wait for computer to boot to safe clear
- turn attendant key to begin clear
- when clear, shut off power and turn the dipswitch back off.


Note- your ram probably failed because your mpu battery is probably bad, change that first!
