so in my first foray into slot machines, i bought a summit conversion. looks cool, but definitely hard to find parts so far.
the reels on this thing don't consistently stop and i don't think the hopper is getting power.
i uploaded the vids to youtube of what is happening with the reels.
reel 1: 80% stop rate
reel 2: 40% stop rate
reel 3: <5% stop rate
I already tool the reel assembly apart, cleaned it, rebuilt it, regreased it - same performance.
any help would be appreciated.
i am looking for a few pieces
door lock
belly glass
various door electronics/parts (see pic)
interface/controller cards (maybe mine are blown?)
candle
lots of bulbs
anything else?
youtube vids of what's happening

This is the one with all the answers for the summit slot conversation machine.

yeah - been through everything on that site, no luck - i don't wanna bug the guy (pricey) i'd rather crowdsource :)

Did you look through his support pages?

Howdy,
The bulbs & Glass etc. Are Bally general parts. The Interface card is a Summit Control Systems Product.
Might be costly and hard to locate a good working one.
Depending on what you paid for machine. The machine is a orphan machine and most likely not worth your hard earned money and time.
All the best

On the Summit the design, the biggest problem I have found is with the Beau pin connectors at the backplane. Those terminals need to be scrubbed with a pen eraser and perfectly clean in order for the machine to function properly. The issue is the female terminal losing their spring tension, causing a poor connection and really the only way to fix it is to replace the connector(s).
I have spare interface and CPU boards available, tested and working 100% if you get to that point.
Here is a reference to the interface components for troubleshooting:

Awesome - that helps to see it laid out.
I'll give the connectors a scrubbing and see what happens.
I found a replacement controller board on ebay for 20 bux (missing the eprom, but i have that) so we will see if that helps. I may take you up on an interface card too.

Be careful of that CPU board. There are several weak points on its design, and driver ICs that routinely go bad. You should verify that it works with your EPROM but since you got it without the chip, no way to test it in a machine.
Also, you probably want to make a copy of that game EPROM since they're not available anymore.

Hi i was wondering if the summit reel assembly has a reader on all 3 wheels? I think mine only has 1 one reel 3 close to the pull.is the reader the black square on the chip on side of reel?i have a pic.i think my only issue with this machine is that the wheels dont lock after spin.andcoin in or not it pulls.

Is there anything missing on my left side of my reels?
-
My boards look intact.my chip says wild on it and theres one wild on 1st reel tape

Ive heard coin accepted is a good thing on the machine.and all 000 on win meter.it does change some times.but goes back after reset.

do you still have boards available? I am picking up a summit 1088 club Cal neva machine and it’s miccing circuit board. How can we go about figuring what board(s) I need and how much
-
Yes, still have some left. Also have the CPU cage with the backplane board if you need it.
