I changed a 5-5-2 display to a 6-6-3 and getting 7 segment display mismatch.
What is needed to make this changeover.
Thanks
-
Did you change the display type to 6-6-3 in the Key Chip menu? I think it's 7.2.7 (or maybe 7.2.6).
Also, keep in mind all SGs will not support a 6-6-3 display. Try SG 363s if you have some.

Yes it is a vision game and the only game chips that work are the 380
And I cannot get to that part of the menu so I am looking for 5-5-2 displays
-
From the PSR for SG380
7.2.7 7-Segment
Display Type Although this option appears, it has no affect. The only available 7-segment display for this version is 5-5-2, which refers to the number of digits in the Winner Paid, Credits, and Credits Played windows, respectively.

Let me know if you need a display Darell. I haven't finished shipping for today and won't drop off for another couple hours. If I ship today, you should have it tomorrow.

Thanks Darrell and Roz, for the 5-5-2 displays
-
What display are you guys talking about?
-
Winner Paid .. Credits .. Coins Played windows on the reel glass.
5 - 5 - 2 will have those number of LEDs that can display a number in the windows. (00000 - 00000 - 00)
6 - 6 - 3 (000000 - 000000 - 000)
-
Darell,
You will have to key chip the machine to get it changed. It will detect automatically after a clear but once it is set, it can only be changed with the key chip. SG380 should be compatible.

Thanks for the feedback.
What do you call the display located on the lower left of a s2000?
One of my machines shows/ scrolls play 3 coins, That's it..
another will show 3 items amount won, 1 credit worth $.25 and how much is money is left.
Can I program the one that only show play coins to look like the other with 3 items?
:Scratch-Head:

You will have to use vs9xo instead of the vs11xo which shows the $$ amount etc.
-
Is this a chip change or change out the display?
-
the version chip is on your MPU. You have 380 game 1&2 and SB chip and version. Look at your other games to see what version chip is on them since you like them best.
-
What do you call the display located on the lower left of a s2000?
VFD -- vacuum fluorescent display
-
The version chips are the same for both machines VS 009 GX0 8/24/00
Of course the game chips and Base are different,
GM 329 Chips SB 100526 I like this way it
GM 577 SB 100768 The way I don't like
Do you Re-program all the chips?
I am lost in the weeds with invisible electrons magic chips....
-
Now, I know what a VFD is Thanks a bunch and were it goes.... :thank_you:
-
The 11 shows the 3 things the 9 only shows play x coins. Are you saying both of your machines have the same version chip#?
-
Yes,
both have the same Version #
Even the dates are the same
