Post by: Jon on February 06, 2019, 03:27:59 PM
I acquired this machine a few years ago for my wife
I am much more into the old electromechanical machines I have been working on them for a long time I understand them
This machine came up with a mux error about 3 weeks ago I shut it down it is now rebooting and the game is coming on and playin no display
I pulled the monitor out of my Keno machine no monitor the machine dolls play I am wondering from the mpu board through the io board
What turns the monitor on there again the monitor runs in my Keno machine but does not run in here it is the old same old ceronix monitor the machines are only a few months apart does anyone have a diagram that will help me out a little bit I don't need much help I'm pretty good most of the time

I just noticed this message!
Can you please post a picture of your machine.
So with a known good monitor, you're still not getting video but the game does play?

Can you post a picture of the entire machine and a picture of the MPU board?
That might get this going better.

I'd plug it all back in and, before powering on, check every (unplug and plug back in; look for pins that have migrated away from the plastic connector, etc) connection from the monitor wiring to the machine - and after powering on, if theres still no video, I'd check the actual monitor controls on the CRT - IF they're in front. Otherwise it's risky to reach around the back with the power on. If that's the case I'd remove the monitor again, and wiggle the controls especially brightness of course.

IF there is power to the CRT, and the machine works, then it should boot up and play without video. Hopefully you've got audio.
Let us know.
