Title: Bally Alpha S9E wont load
Post by: SlotFreak on September 13, 2019, 06:37:04 PM
Greeting all, i have a Monte Carlo Royale which wont load all the way.
I have had this machine for years and never had this particular problem.
When powered on, it starts the boot process normally, the reels spin
and the topbox wheel spins normally as it should. Then when the bill

Before i do a clear, im wondering if anyone knows what may be wrong? Possible
power supply issue? Also when i press the inside white button, nothing happens.

Thanks in advance,

Turn the jackpot reset key to see what the error is. If you have never replaced the nvram batteries, that is probably your issue.  But turning the key will tell you what the issue is.

When i turn the key, i get the a  non-volatile ram fault error. When i turn the key to reboot, it just does the same thing. Is this a battery issue or do i have to do a clear?

Yes, that's a bad battery or corrupt NVRAM, you need to clear and setup.  I would check voltage on all the batteries, including the one on the backplane.
