Title: Bally Monte Carlo ROMS
Post by: Brentd27 on November 12, 2019, 11:52:00 AM
While working on a friend's Bally Monte Carlo slot machine, I managed to put one of the factory ROMs in backwards and killed it.  Where could I get a replacement or download a burnable file?  (Pic of factor ROMs attached fort version info.  ROM lables are partially torn.  Apparently previous owner removed security tape holding roms into sockets.)

I have a set of leave-in SafeRam clear chips, but have been told these won't work with the Monte Carlo because the main game needs DSW1#8 set to on to communicate with the Mikohn bonus wheel.  So far we have not been able to get the game to work.  The main game always shows "91NC" regardless of DSW1 and 11d menu settings.  The numbers on the bonus wheel stay dark, the ball constantly rotates and the display on the bonus wheel cycles between "C1", "C2", and "$0.00".

I've done some googling, but so far have been unable to find a manual for a Mikohn 341-075-05.

Your SMI is 2616. You will also need to get a set of clear chips.  91 error code is most likely due to the progressive battery died from not being turned on for a long period of time.  Battery for the progressive stays charged up if the machine is turned on for at least 1 day a month.  Once you do a clear the  default settings will get the machine in  working mode. But not the progressive.  It's stand alone system.  the progressive will have to be reprogrammed.  Machine will work without the progressive as long as the settings for progressive are left at the default settings.
