Hi again. Last new question for awhile before I run out my welcome LOL! Was trying to remove the reel assembly to access the pull arm mech and I'm a bit confused. On my Seeburg the reel assembly has a pin block, male and female that pull apart when you pull the reels forward and out. This unit doesn't seem to have one. The hopper does so it will just pull out. are Bally reels hard wired or do you have to reach behind it somehow to find a hidden connector??
A heartfelt Thank You to everyone that have helped me get this unit working. Been off work since the lockdown and am trying to get this slot working well for my mother in-law's birthday. Seems I have the time, but not the Knowledge or extra cash LOL. Hopefully I can repay the kindness in the future!

If you’re looking to remove the entire reel mechanism, it slides forward. Look on the front bottom side corners of the reel mech for a lever that rotates. With both sides tilted forward the mech is unlocked and ready to be pulled. If it hasn’t been removed in a long time, the Beau plugs are going to stick. Wiggle the mech while pulling forward. If it needs some convincing, look in front of each side lever and you should see a small metal post sticking up in the guide slot. Stick a screwdriver in that gap and twist while pulling the mech.

swiping your pic from a previous topic, you only have one latching lever - red arrow in below pic.
it looks like your handle already tilts forward near the hub, so turning the handle around would likely make your situation worse. You're probably going to need to bend it more or replace the handle with a rod you bend into whatever shape you like.
the release bolt may be pretty tight. If you have a cordless impact tool, that is likely the easiest way to break it loose if a wrench/socket isn't budging it.

Thats what is strange. There is no pin bank at the back of the reel assembly. It pulls forward as far as I want it to but there is a multiconductor cable that moves with it but it is not long enough for me to see behind it?? Do all Bally machines have a pin bank at the back of the reels??

your machine was assembled from parts of different games, so expect surprises :-)
the back of your reel mech originally had beau plug(s) on it like the hopper, but when they replaced the 4 reel mech with a 3 reel mech and needed to shift the mech to the right to line up - almost - with the windows in the reel glass, the beau sockets mounted to the metal shelf would be in the wrong place.
hopefully they just made a cable to connect the reel mech plugs to a socket in the cabinet someplace and you can still unplug the reel mech ... even if you have to slide it out as far as you can and reach around to pull the socket off the reel plugs.
grab a mirror or take pics with your phone to see what's behind the reel mech. You can also slide the reel mech out as far as you can and look from underneath to see what's in the back of the mech frame.
