Title: WMS Gaming Money Groove machine errors

We have a WMS Gaming Money Groove machine that is giving two errors:
Tilt! CRC Corrupt
and
Tilt! Secure Memory Failure


Any ideas on how to fix it? Be gentle, I don't know much about repairing machines :)


Appreciate any assistance.

A clear may fix that, was it working before, or you got it with this issue?  CRC issue is sometimes a bad eprom.

  Thank you for responding Rick.


It was working just fine, has been since we purchased it a year ago, was powered off after the last use and when powered back on these errors came up.
We have tried to clear it, did nothing.
How does one check the eprom? I am attaching a couple of photos of the inside of it.
If anyone can assist I’d appreciate it.
If you can’t, do you know anyone in the Central New York area that we could take it to?

Are you able to go through the clear procedure?  Reseat all the eproms, those are the 32 pin socketed IC's that are on the mpu board (the one that has XU2, XU3, XU4, etc).  Did you replace the battery on the mpu?

My nephew, who is way more techno-savvy than me, was able to get it running again!
I think it was that the battery connection was somehow loose, he is also looking into getting a new battery for it.


Mother is very happy to have her fav game back!
