Long distance friend is a seasonal resident. Machine is off for months at a time.
When powered up, machine did a strange countdown on display.
I suggested battery change. He installed correctly, moved j10 jumper & hit pseudo and test.
No change. Number 8 on display & hopper runs. Pins on board look straight according to him, though he mis-seated it a couple of times.
No need for clear chips on this machine, correct? I changed battery a years ago & seem to remember clearing without issues.
Any suggestions? Thanks. Hope to get him sorted out, though it’s tricky over the phone.
