Title: Sleeper Auction??
Post by: speedbump on January 05, 2015, 02:17:28 PM
These are the guys who were listing $10 glass with a starting bid of $200 on eBay.

They appear to be running an auction of slot glass with a few antique slot machines hidden inside.  I don't think anyone knows the auction exists because no one is bidding on the machines (Top bid of $275 on a Watling Rolatop with two days left on the bidding)

It might be worth keeping an eye on this one and sorting through all the glass to find the machines.

They have horrible feed back on ebay.   Who the hell is setting values on these things.  All glass value 200/400? The machines for the glass are barely worth that.

Heres some of the fine print

You agree to pay a buyer's premium of up to 33% and any applicable taxes and shipping.

I was ignoring the glass and looking at the low bids on the machines. Several of the machines were only being auctioned on the link I provided and not on eBay.  No one seemed to be bidding.

Oh well.

Like everything if its to good to be true.

I hadn't noticed the slots at first, i didn't go past the first page, where i saw the slot glass.  Odd how they have the glass starting at $50 bids but the machines at $1 bid.
Also noticed that several of the listings are incorrect with diff pics then whats written as listed.
