It's too bad you don't tell us what CPU you have in there.
If you don't know, take a picture and post it.
Found this on the internet...>>>

The recommended sequence for installing and configuring the software for play is:
1 Prepare the electronic gaming machine (EGM) by powering OFF and verifying that all
peripheral devices, player tracking components, and bulkhead board connections are
secure.
2 Prepare the CPU by seating the installer USB, software USB drive, and the hardware
key(s). If necessary, remove the battery tabs.
3 Perform a RAM clear (factory reset) using the Installer.
4 Install software.
5 Complete the initial setup wizard to set the language, time, and serial/asset numbers.
6 Set paytables and max bet.
7 Set credit limits.
8 Set the host comm settings.
9 Check the volume.
10 Set all other site-specific options.

Mostly agree. No need for Factory Reset for just a game change but I guess it could depend on what you are installing.

Power Off
Open CPU door
Put USB Installer in the CPU
Power On
It boots to installer menu
Put New Game Loader in
Install new game (it will perform an NV Ram as part of new game install and remove old game)
After installing new game
Power off
Remove Installer and Game loader, put in required licenses
Power up (no need to do a ram clear when it asks)
Set up machine

CPU has nothing to do with it, J43 installs same no matter which one you have.

Actually all Argos based games install and load in the same way, so machine and cpu makes no difference.

Okay...just wanted to know...I saw there were different ones.
The intructions I found online were from a copy of the:

SG 1458262 USER GUIDE : ARGOS OPERATING SYSTEM 2.X.      28 JULY 2017

Probably the wrong version for his machine?   :scratch-head_2:

Like I said, makes no difference, 2.X, 3.X 4.X and 5.X all the same

So aside from the game fob, I also need an installer fob for the machine to boot to?

Also, be awarde that when you install a new game the game that was previously installed is deleted during the install process.  So make sure you have the Game USB drive for the games that is being deleted......so that you can install it again....unless you hate it.... :rotfl: :rotfl:

My machine currently has 6 games to switch back and forth with a ramclear...  That would be bad to erase

After a whole lot of discussion and some helpful info from a couple users here I decided to take a flyer but the machine in its modified state wont boot to the installer.....  Prolly better for me.
