S2000, Triple Lucky 7, 5-reel. I Cleared and Keyed it and set it up for the TITO that is inside. I'd like it to print a voucher and read it back in.
Something's not right, however - With $120 in credits available I press Cash Out and it gives me a "Call Attendant" message, and nothing prints out.
The TITO doesn't work, either. Pressing Service just turns on the candle light and doesn't give any credits.
I have to Clear & Key it again to set the Coin Denomination to $0.25, so I'd like to know what else I need to change and avoid multiple C&K operations. I bolded the ones I have questions about.
I have verified the following settings from other threads:
- 7.1.1.1 - Accounting: $0.01
- 7.1.1.2 - Coin Denomination: $0.01
- 7.1.1.3 - Player Denomination: (I don't know what this does)

- 7.1.1.4 - Touch Panel: (Couldn't get here, no touch panel)
- 7.1.6 - Machine Type: Upright
- 7.1.7 - Token Payout: Disabled
- 7.2.2 - Printer: Enabled

Why did you clear it ? If you are just setting up TITO, there's no need to clear it.
Is it coinless ?
-
Sounds like when you cashed out and it said "Call Attendant" all you needed to do was turn the rest key. Your limits may be set too low.
-
It is coinless - No hopper or coin slot.
I cleared & keyed it because I changed the MPU to fix a host of other issues, and because the TITO instructions said "Your machine will need to be RAM cleared and keyed to use the board. These are the settings that need to be done during keying. (List of settings)"
TITO did not work before the C&K either. The issue was that the machine would not stay up long enough to go through all the menu items and get them set correctly.

I thought that my limits might be too high, actually. It's a $0.25 machine, and I set the credit and bill limit to 175,000 which seemed high to me.
This is my first and only machine, so I don't know what I'm talking about most of the time. :) I'm on the steep part of the learning curve.

I spotted two things in the settings. Player denomination should be set to $0.25 and coinless mode should be enabled.

Player denom should be set to $0.25 but coinless mode should not be enabled, it will lock limits.

I'll assume that Coin Denomination is the value of the coin that is accepted (Penny or quarter, etc.).
...but what is "Player Denomination" and what does it control or do?
-
Coin denom is what size coin the hopper takes if it had a hopper. Player denom is what a credit is worth.

That is so simple to understand. Thank you.
I also found the settings manual, so I have that as a reference moving forward.
Does anyone know what field the machine keys off of on the voucher?
Does everything on the voucher need to match the machine's printer data fields? If not, what is it looking for?
I ask because I have vouchers that I printed several C&K operations ago, and the BV pulls it in, the display says "Processing Voucher" or something like that, and then the BV spits it back out with no credits.
-
Do you have a Tito device installed? It will not accept vouchers without a Tito board.
-
I do have a TITO, but I'm not sure it's working. It has no lights or indications on it. (TITO@Home v3.0, I believe)
I believe it is supposed to add credits if the Service button is pressed, but on mine that just lights up the candle.
-
Well if you cleared and keyed you have to set the tito settings up when you key it. Now you will have to key again to set all the tito settings.

I think we're back to my original post at the top of this thread. :)
I believe I have set the TITO settings already, but it doesn't seem to be working. Am I missing something?
-
Going to do a full C&K again today, since I have to change the denomination.
I'm holding off with any other work until I get the TITO working, but I haven't seen any indications that I'll be successful yet. It acts like the TITO is invisible.
-
It will act that way if you don't have the Comm/SAS settings set up correctly.
-
I followed the FAQ on this board, and the instructions that came with the TITO board to set the settings at the top of the page... Can you see anything wrong or missing?
-
I ran the printer test and it printed a voided ticket, so the printer is connected, enabled, and working.
I put $100 into the machine, hit the cash out button, and it rang the bell, started the service light blinking, and said "Call Attendant" with no ticket printed. It indicated a HandPay of $100.
It feels like I have something wrong in the Handpay or Partial Pay settings wrong, or the limits are not set right... I'm going to C&K it now to get the denom right, and I'll walk through the settings again. Here we go.
-
If your tito is programmed to give free credits, did you try the service button to see if you get credits? That should tell you if your tito settings are correct.

The Service button just lights up the top light on the candle.
Here is the wiring connection, I confirmed it's a TITO @ Home 3.
Switch 1 ON
Switch 2 OFF
(Should be 1000 credits when service is pressed)

After a C&K, and setting the options as above except for:
- 7.1.1.2 Coin Denomination $0.25
- 7.1.7.1 Token Setup: Token Value 001
- 7.1.7.2 Token Payout: Partial Token Cashout Disabled
Hopper Limit: 00000
Credit Limit: 200,000
Jackpot Limit: 200,000
Bill Limit: 10,000
3.4.1.1.4 Primary Hand Pay: Single Report (Only choices were Single or Multiple report, no Disabled option)
Sadly, the results are the same. Cash Out does not print a ticket (With 800 credits), and I get the "Call Attendant" and an alarm bell.
Meter shows 4.93 volts on the TITO board, coming from the red & black wires off of the top of the power distribution block shown in the photo. That panel says "WAP EZPAY" if that makes a difference.

Photo attached.
The TITO instructions said:
Plug the 3 pin plug into the small plug on the side of the communication board next to the 2 pin connector. This will supply power to your board. The connection is always on, so I suggest connecting the machine to a power strip and turning off the machine at the power strip when not in use to make sure the board is not on 24 hours a day when not in use.
Connect the 5 pin connection to the front of the communication board to the 5 pin plug.
Someone please verify my connections in the photo, for sanity's sake.
-
Is there a ribbon cable connecting the comm card to the motherboard? Your pic only shows part of the distribution box.

Yes. Full photo attached...

After further inspection, the OTHER end of the cable was not fully plugged into the connector. Once fully seated, it now works and gives me credits when the service button is pushed. Vouchers print out and are read back in correctly.
Thank you for your help.
