Title: Cleopatra igt s2000 change of chips
Post by: Sebel19 on October 19, 2022, 10:03:50 AM
hello to all, first sorry for my English, I am French and not gifted in foreign languages.

I recently own an igt s2000 cleopatra 5 reels, 9 lines, 90 credits, 100,000 jackpot.

I have already changed its button battery which was weak, it works very well.

I currently have improved sounds only in bonus mode, after a lot of research on this forum which is a real gold mine, I saw that we could have improved sounds even in standard play but that it was necessary the right chip combo.

I will already try to detail what I have as chips in the machine currently.
SB100597
SG000306 (1 and 2)
VS011IX0
DSPL0002
DVS00043

to have the sounds improved in standard mode I read that I needed the combo:
SB100334
SG000597

so I ordered to be quiet the chips as well as the clear and keychip for my current chips and the one to come.
Current games:
IVC00097
KEYCHIP 17

new game:
IVC000224
KEYCHIP 45

I have everything good for ordered chips ?

My question is especially when I will change my SB and SG chips what will happen?
I read that for the SB alone just the turn of the key is enough but when is it when you change the complete combo?

another question I understand that the SB chip was mainly the one that was going to change my sounds, but what will really change the SG chips in my case?

Thank you all in advance.

Hi,

If you change the Stepper Base chip, I still advise you to do a clear ram... not sure that the reset key will allow you to restart the machine.

The chips you have chosen are the correct ones: clear 224 and key 45

Concerning the sound, your SIMM DSV00043 = Cleopatra
The DSPL0002 chip is the bridge for the DSV SIMM, but it is true that there are cases where the Stepper Game and Stepper Base chips create sound conflicts.

Look in menus 3.2.5 and 3.2.6 that the melodies are set to "enhanced"

thank you Nurbo, (weird to speak in English to a Frenchman  :24:)

for the clear in your opinion I try without doing it first? just change the sb and the 2 sg.

If not which chip to use the ivc97 (because with the sg that I currently have it is that one I believe) or the ivc24 as I would have changed chip (sb and sg).

otherwise in menu I don't have 3.2.5

and in 3.2.6.1 (multimedia) I have either stereo or mono.

Thanks again Nurbo
