Title: Setting up S2000 with standalone progressive
Post by: Phan000 on October 29, 2022, 04:44:36 AM
I bought an s2000 yesterday.  Board (1270) looks bad, but I have another.

The. machine has a progressive with a cham 2 unit in the top.

I’ve never set up a progressive on a s2000 before.

Is there any likelihood that the progressive retained its settings?

If I replace the board,  what is the process to set it up with standalone progressive?

Chances are if the rechargeable battery on the cham2+ is dead you will have to reprogram with the PSP software.

Looking at some old threads, I’m not sure if this cham 2 can be used as a standalone progressive?

Can anyone verify this model will work as standalone?

If not, could it be programmed to just have a message?

typically it would say "standalone"  on that white label.

I've used many cham 2+ in Bally as sa, or stand alone. The setup is where that (sa or sao) is selected. Please post a pic of the complete board.
As someone mentioned,  often the rechargeable battery dies from being left off for too long. It will likely charge up if you leave the power on for a few hours.  I usually do this prior to programming them. Jim is correct, they usually have Stand Alone or STA on the label

Thanks,
Wayne
