Title: Identify for me, S2000 vision series ???
Post by: hawkypro on April 14, 2015, 06:12:39 PM
Ok this is my first post on this site and I love the site because it is full of information.

Here are the questions for you guys, and i hope im posting in the correct spot.

I have the opportunity to buy these two machine for less than 200. They look like IGT s2000 vision series coinless slots but im unsure and the seller is not quite sure what they are. I dont want to drive to him for 2 hours one way, just to find out they are not what i want.
The machines are complete even though the pic is not showing it. Are the worth it and are they difficult to repair and get parts for?. Also, if they are coinless machines how do you go about putting credits on the machine? i dont want to feed dollar bills into the machine as that would get costly. LOL

Any help in the questions ive asked is much appreciated.

They are not S2000 vision series, they appear to be S+ with a custom cpu and screen added, there is a recent post from another member with a similar machine. Parts would be extremely difficult to impossible to find for the add on cpu and converting them back to standard S+ would be cost prohibitive. I believe it's been said these types were used at Indian casinos back in the day. Personally, I wouldn't give $2 for them much less $200, but that's just me. The more adventurous types might be willing to take on the challenge...

Guys,  thanks so much for the feedback, I will stay away from them. I dont need that type of head ache.  What made me question it was I could not find either game name listed for IGT machines.  Thats why i love this site.

Thanks  a million guys.

Thanks, so much for the help. I would have hated to find that these are some weird , modified versions after buying them :banghead: .  You saved me money that i will use on the IGT 9 line triple diamond machine instead :applause: .

I don't see anything scary about them. 16" tops with top added to them. Just take one top off and a normal S+ again. I bet they just said Good Luck or such on video. As far as using BILLs, you know you can open the machine and get your money back out. Some people like the nostalgia of coins, others hate how filthy their hands get handling the coins. Personally I prefer putting a hundred in and just pushing the max bet.

Some of those games had heavily modified wiring harness' and MPU's, needed a back end system to run. That's why I stated they may not be cost effective to return to normal use. Now, if you got them cheap to use for parts on other S+ machines there might be a few dollars worth of usable parts there, but I'm not standing in front of them to see what's there and this is a first time buyer who probably doesn't know what to look for, so I advised the way I did

Sorry Cowboy. Did not mean any disrespect. Definitely first time slot owner BEWARE. I still enjoy repairing S+ and S2000. S+ parts are getting harder to find. At $100 for both, I would buy them. Not $100 each. Then again, I'm not is Texas where they are. I would have a blast just seeing what is in them.

Ok,

Maybe dodged a bullet by not buying those other two machines, and I did find out that they came from an Indian casino.  Instead, I ended up getting this machine for 150.00 had to negocieate down from 165.00, also came  with a new extra cpu board and its clean inside and out.  :dancing_2:   It did give an error code though when i powered it on, if i cant resolve the issue, i will consult with you guys.

Here is the ad that was on CL.

Now that's a nice machine 5 line 5 coin. All error codes are listed on the inside part of the door. 12 battery, 41 42 43 reels Start a new thread on the new machine. And this is a S+ machine.
