How do I tell what machine I have
« on: November 20, 2023, 02:38:53 PM »
New here! I have had this slot for years, it works well pays out and take credits, it excepts bill also. Besides it is a Tripple Double Diamond slot.  How do I tell that year is was made or the model number?  I see stuff about a 2000 S model but I have not idea if this is correct. Thanks

the fastest way to tell yours is an S2000 is the "ear" speakers. The older S-Plus didn't have those. the manufacture date should be on the handle side of the machine

welcome aboard,
Wayne

Ok thanks, so on the handle side you mean inside someplace I should find the date? Thanks for info.

outside on the serial number plate. If it's not there, then someone may have removed it to replace the formica.

Also, the blue Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) just below the reels is only found on an IGT S2000 machine. S+ and other models do not have that display.

I've moved this thread to the S2000 section.

Not to forget some of the early s-2000s did not have the speakers sticking out. They had upper speakers but were not sticking out. Sorry I don't have a pic of one.
