WMS BB2 LAP controller setup

Hello,
So here is the run down. Purchased a BB2 XL with the Godfather installed. It does have a lap controller and was working great. I installed Pirate Ship, seller was nice and gave it to me, onto the machine and it also worked great. But when I installed GF back onto the machine it keeps saying the progressive is not setup. Now during set up I change progressive type to WMSP and in CONFIG there is no values there to change, just shows the info on the machine like mac address. I just assumed the running controller would give it the values it needed to run. So if someone can tell me where I went wrong, I would appreciate it. I have never installed a game requiring a controller so I have zero experience with it.

Did you disconnect the lap controller?  Is there power to the lap controller?  When setting up the godfather game, the paytable and denomination selected during setup after a clear has to be the one that is currently configured on the lap controller, if you chose another one, then it will not work.  You will need to connect to the lap controller through ethernet to see what was configured on the controller.  You will need to ask your seller how he configured the controller (IP address, paytable used, etc) in order to setup the game if you didn't get that information.

Shoot!! During set up I set the game at 96%. I thought if would be more entertaining. But the lap controller says 90% on it. I guess that’s why it didn’t work. Well at least I know why now. Is it hard to reprogram the lap controller to support a higher payout?  The controller does say “ supports other payouts: yes”

Contact the person that sold you the system.  He should be able to tell you what other paytables the controller supports or if he has any other additional configuration files you can use.  You will need to know the ip address of the controller.

In The past i have installed The godfather system the file provide to me for the vendor (XML Config), for international jurisdiction leaves You set under this values 88.5,90.00,92.00,94.00 and 96%, wiht 300 Max Bet Credits, maybe could be different for another jurisdictions, agree wiht Mr RickHunter do You need this file, to setup the lap and machines.
