This is my first bb1 machine. When I power the machine on the display is black. I replaced both batteries and then I tried using the 1810 clear card...same thing. Like I said it's my first bb1 machine so I'm not even sure where to start looking.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Connect a laptop to the lcd instead of the mpu. if it doesn't fire up, it may be an inverter issue on the LCD. Do you get a "no video signal message" or is the screen totally dark. is there a green light on the back of the LCD or is it red?
-
I'll need to connect a laptop when I get home this evening. I didn't get any "no video signal" message and I believe I have a green light on the back of the LCD.
-
Just a thought.....should the clear be done with the game card in or the game card out?
I got the monitor to come up once with a green light on the monitor. I could not read what was on the screen because its too bright outside. Working out of my garage really sucks but it is what it is.
I'll need to try and clear it again later this evening
-
Game Card should really be out..................

Booted the machine with just the clear card. The machine looked like it was booting ok until what you see below.
ImgMgr: core function
loading nvram from /lib/modules/wms simulate=0
insmod: error inserting '/lib/modules/wms/nvram.ko' : -1 Input/output
Error loading nvram.ko: NVRAM may be corrupted.
ImgMgr :: StopSys: ImgMgr: NV or HD initialization failure

Are you sure you are booting with a clear card on the OS slot and no other cards. NVRAM corrupted usually happens after a battery replacement, but a clear should never get that message as it supposedly re-formats the NVRAM. Have you used that particular clear card before. When it starts the validation in the boot sequence does it say validating SCLR-000-1810 somewhere in the boot screen.
-
Yes......booted with the clear card in place of the OS card and no game card
Not sure if it says say validating SCLR-000-1810 somewhere in the boot screen. I think it does but I'll need to check when I get home this evening.
I have not used this clear card before, I just purchased it from tjlee

Booted the machine again. I did not see validating SCLR-000-1810 but there was one section that flashed by early on in the boot sequence so it could have been there.
Here is whats on the last screen when it hangs up
hda: drive not ready for command
Buffer I/0 error on device hda, logical block 64
Buffer I/0 error on device hda, logical block 64
Red (couldn't read because of brightness)version 3.5.22 starting
Initializing file integrity checking...
Buffer I/0 error on device hda, logical bock 0
Buffer I/0 error on device hda, logical bock 0
[FILEINT:alloc_fst] read_device_sector failed!
[FILEINT:load_fst] load_fst error!
[FILEINT: scan fst] failed to load FST for device [hda]
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on hda6
After that nothing happens. The machine just stays there

Pic of the boot screen where the machine stops
I never did see validating SCLR-000-1810. Do I have a bad clear card?
-
Sure looks like the card to me HDA is the cf card i believe
make sure it's original wms and not a copy
-
I have seen this problem before with one of my machines. Make sure the CPU cage is completely pushed down and making good contact. The clear card sent you was tested and working here before being mailed out. New card is on the way to try. Ted

Got the new clear card and the machine clears fine. I watched the youtube video of Jim from Bettor Slots for the machine setup and went through each step.
After setting it up I clicked return to game button and now I have the blue floating window that says Call Attendant. Bottom left corner of screen it says Open door TP. Bottom right of the screen it says Closure BMS
-
great - you are close and just have an open door someplace -
I'm so sorry but I don't remember what TP stands for
M is main door
S is stacker
BV is bill validator
I'm sure someone will chime in which door is open
-
Top box door open. If you don't have a dual screen game, you are probably missing the top box jumper. It is shown in the photo below. The connector plate is inside the top box. It may just be unplugged.
-
I found the jumper in the bottom of the machine mixed in with a tangle of wires. Thanks to everyone that helped with this. The machine is up and operating now with one other problem.
I watched the youtube video of Jim from Bettor Slots for the machine setup and went through each step. In the device config screen, the video says to set the printer to Netplex. I do not have just the Netplex option. What I have is Seiko Netplex so I set the printer to that. When this is set it will print a void demo voucher. I'm pretty sure that all of the Comm settings are correct as well.
When I tested cash out, I got a message on the screen for handpay. Probably something easy that I missed.
Thanks again,
Paul

You might need a different jurisdiction chip on the MPU for the printer to work standalone.

Seiko Netplex will work fine, check your other settings.

Did you set validation to standard? If you don't have the Bettor Tito installed, setting it to system would create a hand pay since it has no way of validating the ticket out.
-
I'll have to check it tomorrow but I'm almost positive that standard was not one of the choices. If standard is not one of the choices does that mean I need a jurisdiction chip?
-
If standard is not one of the options, then you need a different sjur chip. But if you are already thinking on investing in Bettor Tito, why bother?
