Title: WBA-13 fails initial startup. Unsure how to proceed.
Post by: travishauch on October 24, 2017, 02:08:48 PM
Hi. I have a problem with a WBA-13-SS in an IGT S2000. When I first turn it on, the bill validator has two red leds come on and then starts spinning like it's rejecting a bill. It does it about 8-10 times with a split second pause in between (spinning same way each time, reject/exit) and then stops. On the IGT display I get "Bill Validator Jam."

I bought the machine used not working. It had RAM error and EEPROM error. I just had to cycle the key as guides say to do and got it working. The bill validator didn't work however but after going into I/O devices and auto configure netplex devices and it started to work. The next day it stopped working again and I have been unsuccessful.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Travis

Pull validator and cash can out and look for broken gears or something jamped in the mechanism.

I don't see any jam or broken gears. It's weird. Just was working yesterday, even though it did the same thing before it started working.
