Searched all the post .. Think I need the clear chips .. bought machine with dead battery replaced battery but now I cannot get out of the 61 no matter what I try it will not go to 61-1 .. Need help on what clear chips to get ..The machine is a Igt Wild Cherry thanks for any help

One thing you can try without the clear chip.
Pull the cmos chip for 10 seconds and replace
Try the 61 again
-
do i just pull the chip . or do i pull the chip and put the board back in the machine
-
Pull the chip wait 10 seconds and replace
No need to put the board back in until you replace the chip
-
ok tried that, still cant get to 61-1 only 61
-
When all else fails then you can use the clear

Are you pushing the tiny button next to or on the back side of the on/off switch? We have had people push the large cherry switch by mistake. If you get it to 61-1, close the door and latch all the way, then turn J/P key. Usually the 61 loop gives you 61-1 then after turning the key it goes back to 61

next to the off switch

Does pressing the button do anything? I have seen them unplugged before.
-
yes it goes blank then back to 61 .. but nothing after no matter how long I hold it ...
-
Time for a clear. Hopefully it will work.

Looks like you have a bill validator so you will also need the BV chip to enable it....

Normally they only go blank after the door has been closed. Odd that it's doing it with the door open. I have had them not do anything at all with the button pushed and a clear worked. I have also found many that had the wiring for the button unplugged near the MPU.
