Title: Fortune 1 Draw Poker - Holding Cards & Credits?
Post by: danatlvc on May 23, 2014, 08:03:04 AM
My board has always worked perfect in my Fortune 1 Draw Poker machine. When you hold a card in play you can't unhold it & it has to play out. Also it doesn't hold credits & pays out all pays. Is this just an adjustment or in the chip set or just the way my board is setup? Any help would be appreciated. Our other Fortune one we have you can unhold the cards & it hold credits up to 300 before spitting out over wins? I'd like to unhold the cards in mistakes & have it hold credits if possible on this one? Thanks

On my F1 there is a cancel button that will remove all held cards and that is the only way to unhold a card, you can't remove a held card one at a time. Also, my machine is coin in coin out so there is no holding credits. When you win, it pays out immediately. Not sure when F1's had credit feature unless it was available on F2's or newer.

My Fortune One will hold and un-hold cards individually. Mine also will hold and remember credits (battery on MPU) and cash out when the button is pressed.
You may have a very early Fortune one. Is the name IGT on it anywhere? Can you post a picture of the front?

Unfortunately all id tags have been removed from my f1. I have the 8 button deck (missing cash out button so no credits). Pic of my machine is attached.

Update
Pic has been corrected.

I don't understand why my pictures are posting sideways from my iPad. They aren't that way when I take them.

Try turning your iPad 90 degrees and take the picture again

When we first put the Fortune I in production we only sold non-credit machines.

The casinos insisted we come up with a credit version with lighted buttons, we did.

Then they wanted sound, we did that also.

We had conversion kits to make the non credit machines credit but I doubt if you could find one today.

Thanks All,
It was the game set. I changed the game to another game set I had. It then you could unhold a held card & the machine held credits

Wow my game must be REALLY old!  Only hold on my buttons,  no credits AND most games that I have seen so far give you you bet back for jacks or better even though the lowest winning combo is 2 pair.

Don't get me wrong, I love my machine.  It looks and works great.  I was damn lucky to get it in this part of the country.

I guess because its a Jokers Wild it does not refund your bet for Jacks or Better.   That would make the game a bit more fun.  Having to get a minimum of 2 pair ain't easy even with the joker.

Does anyone know if that is simply a chip issue or setting on the game board?

I see that a lot of the notifications for the Jacks or Better is added on with a plaque and to part of the original glass.

You would need a set of Jacks or Better chips at the 000-7FF and 800-FFF locations.

The graphics chips would probably remain the same.

But good luck finding a JOB glass.

Bad.

That sounds like a polite way of telling me to leave the game alone.  I smell what you are cooking.

Thank you.
