Thanks and hang on...

Also for the future, if you can, please just add photos as a JPEG file, as other members may not be able to open it.  My MacBook tried to open it as a text document and just showed an empty field. I took a screen shot, then cropped each one, flipped them and created separate jpeg files.
It's fun to be a moderator.
Anyway hold on, help is on the way.
If you could post a higher resolution shot of the hopper that would be great.

Wonder if your knife is bent away from the shelf wheel.

I can’t tell by this pic? I don’t see a current jam? Might also have to adjust the wipe to keep only one coin per slot on the coin wheel.
I would remove the hopper knife to see if anything is jammed under it.

sorry that my last post was not thorough.  I cleared the jam - multiple coins in outlet cover.  knife is clear and does not appear to be out of alignment.   wondering if it has something to do with the wiper - guessing that more than one coin is entering outlet at the same time.

odd thing is that jams occur intermittently.  some times 50 coin payout occurs without a jam.  other time it may be a 7 coin payout getting jammed.

seems I need a go pro camera inside to see what happens

also, do you know of a service provider that can work on the mother board; i.e. run diagnostics or modify payouts?

Start by adjusting the wipe closer to the coin wheel. Loosen the two screws holding it. Then adjust it down and tighten. You don’t want it touching the coin, but as close as possible. If the knife isn’t sitting flat to the coin wheel, you might be able to remove it and straighten it.

Oh I forgot. You could contact K-Lar to see if any thing could be done to the MPU. You can find K-Lar on the home page at the top.

Let me know if you need hoppers, power supplies, coin mechs, or other parts for the J400 machine. I have a ton of parts.
