Title: Bally alpha1 v32 bv comm error after jurisdiction chip change
Post by: reactorpwr on September 14, 2022, 09:56:23 PM
Newly received alpha1 v32, mei bv, future logic printer, working fine until i decided to replace jurisdiction chip. Swapped to no limit jurisdiction chip, cleared with clear 335 cf card as usual, go to enable machine with printer and mars/mei bv and upon saving i get a popup for bv comm error. I have verified cpu/mpu board pins were not bent. Verified it is pushed all the way into tray too.

Does the same thing now with original jurisdiction chip installed too. Game works as expected without bv enabled otherwise. Checked and rechecked setup selection for bv. Cleaned contacts, cleaned optics, tried diff cashbox. Did the cpu, bv, or connection to bv crap the bed on me? Bv Interface card? Wiring harness?

Mei head is single green flash, not solid. Read other, older, topics with same bv comm error, but did not see any confirmation of resolutions.

Thanks, RP
