Title: IGT Slot Machine Play Disabled
Post by: Stag on January 10, 2016, 04:37:22 AM
Hi

I was wondering I need to do a poll to enable play on the machine at the moment it's got play disabled with a few flags, can someone please tell me how I can enable play on the machine? It's a IGT machine for 100% certain on model but can get if needed.

You'll need to post a picture of your machine as different models require different steps to resolve your issue

I've added two photos to help identify the machine, thanks so much for the assistance. Hopefully you guys know how to go about this.

Cheers

Honestly, not sure if it is IGT. The player panel has an unusual button configuration. Can you post a picture of the machine with the door open and showing the circuit board layout? Generally an IGT machine will have a manufacturers plate on the right side of the cabinet, the side where a pull handle would be on a reel type machine, and it will say IGT on it. I may not be able to direct you to a solution for your problem, but the requested information will definitely help those that can

Attached a few more photos to help, thank you. I'm in Australia so maybe IGT here and there might have different machines? It has a ethernet fiber optic interface

Yep, it's different, but IGT all the same. We have some Aussie and New Zealand members who may see this and be able to help and it may still use similar setup protocol to US machines. I'd guess it's probably something to do with the settings used to communicate with the casino computer system but we'll let the resident experts chime in when they can. In the mean time this is all helpful info for them. Be patient, it being the first weekend of the NFL playoffs here in the states it may take a bit for people to respond.

Hey all, to help with the issue I've added a few more images. I messed around with it today and found a RS232 cable and linked it up with my laptop and it spammed it with FF what does that mean?

I've been doing some research into this and according to a old post located here http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=15936.0 (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=15936.0) someone made a q-com emulator? Does anyone have that laying around?

I believe that QCOM is only installed in Queensland Machines.
NSW machines have standalone shell chips which are available.
I am not sure if any other Australian states use the QOM system
You may need to replace the flash card also if you run in NSW mode.
Will try to run Queensland flash card with NSW shell.
Have sent (PM) email address
