Title: WMS BB1 Input/Output Error

This is my first post on the site using this username. I was active here years ago under an email that I no longer have access to.

I just picked up a BB1 machine from FB marketplace and have never fished with this model before. I haven't had a WMS machine since the 550s were popular.

I am getting an input/output error on the screen during booting. Does anyone have any suggestions where to start?

The input/output error is typically not cause.  Post a screenshot of the screen of the error.

I just saw the other thread with the same error... I already replaced the batteries... I'm about to order a clear chip for the game so I can try a reinstall. Do you have any recommendations on which one I should get? It is a bb1 with the blue board of that makes a difference. I picked up the game yesterday from someone in marketplace for $40, pretty solid pickup I think.

clear 1810 is usually what is recommended, you can also use clear 1350.
