Title: BB1 vs BB2 OS cards

I know I've seen similar things answered, but I'm not finding it so I thought I'd go ahead and post my question. 

I bought a new game for my BB1.  It says what it needs is family 9.0.  In my BB2 I have OS 9.27.  Is there ever a time when an OS would work in both MPU's or would I need a new OS for my BB1?  If I need a new one, any recommendations on which I should look for?

Run the 9.27 in both, 9.27 supports the OLED button deck also if you happen to be using that.

9.27 is the latest too so it should run all the 9.XX series games.
