Title: Bally gamemaker v7000 NO SOUND
Post by: 61Wally on April 29, 2021, 07:07:24 PM
I acquired a Bally gamemaker and there’s no sound. I found the 1K volume pot destroyed. I replaced it, no change. I traced the pot wiring traces and found one of them with no continuity. I soldered a jumper and still No sound. I read a post about “ YAMAHA YM-2149 “ sound chip and replaced it. Still no sound. When I use the V-P10 Debug chip, I try to test SOUNDS under diagnostic & configuration and I get nothing. I must be doing something wrong. Any help would be Appreciated.

I forgot to mention I changed speaker and I have continuity on red and black spar wires all the way to the motherboard. Does any of the sound need to be programmed after a clear. I would think there would have to be standard default sounds? When the potentiometer was damaged, Could it have damaged any other op amps, etc. ?
