Hello,
I bought a 10 MHZ from a reputable seller a few years back knowing one day I may have a need for it. That day came recently. I put this board into an s+ I was trying to trouble shoot. Machine worked great for a short bit but all of a sudden the readouts turn off and the game stops in mid spin or just sitting there. Typically the machine can be on for 1-3 minutes before this happens. I can turn the machine off for a short period of time then power it back on and it will be fine for a the 1-3 minutes and it goes blank again. Lights stay lit and reels are firm during the dead period.
I have since purchased a known good board which the machine works perfect even with being left on for an extended period of time and the cables/jacks/plugs all look good with no burn marks noted.
Can this be a cap issue? I had considered reflowing the components but thought I would ask first.
