I need some help. Someone point me in the right direction. I am not getting enhanced sounds on my Phantom. I don't have the option for enhanced sounds in the menu under sounds in 3.2. Here is a picture of my board and Simm. I get normal sounds but no enhanced phantom sounds. What am I doing wrong?

where is the picture? Did the Phantom get it?

a typical indication of a working sound simm is it takes a lot longer to boot compared to a board with no sound card.
maybe a bent pin on the sound board? defective board, defective simm card, try the sound board in another machine.

Can I just stick the sound board on another board? Do I have to clear and re key the board or will it recognize it when I stick it on the board?

Yes you can try it on another board. You may have to go into sound settings and set up the enhanced sounds. The sound simm for phantom will only work with SB's lower than SB100100

I only have 1 other machine that is up and working and its higher than this. I have 3 MML boards I can't believe all 3 are bad. I wonder if the Simm Card is bad?

We have a winner its Six Card Mark with the winning answer. Put the 42 in and boom I get multimedia sounds and option in the menu. So its the Phantom Simm card that is bad. I should be able to grab one off ebay or spin easy enough.
