Hi Guys, What is this called and how do you adjust it?
There seems to be a problem with coins jamming between it and the star agitator causing the lead edge to bend. Is it supposed to lay flat against the coin shelf wheel because it isn't. It only touches on the tip.
What will happen if I remove it completely?
The hopper still vends coins but you hear some banging going on while it's doing it...
Let me know... Thanks again

That is bend down into the wheel. Bend it back up out of the way.
-
Is anyone else cringing at that bend?
How did the mixer get on top? It’s almost as if the hopper was run backwards
-
Can someone shoot me a picture of the way it's supposed to be??
-
Bend it up and away from the agitator about an inch and a half. The bend should be about 90deg from the tab holding it in place.
-
Like That??... BTW I have a new agitator star coming
-
That looks good. As long as quarters can pass between it and the agitator.
If that didn’t break the agitator I don’t think anything will!
Does it allow the hopper to turn and eject coins now?

PERFECT!!!... just passed 540 coins without a burp!
Thanks again Guys!!

Glad SCM figured out what was bent up in your hopper....I had no idea what was in there! :duh: haha
I remember working on a Sigma "Tunnel" slot machine and I think the hopper went backwards to clear coin jams....only hopper I've ever seen do that.
IGT hoppers don't have a reverse.

Bally hoppers for the 6000 series have a reverse button.
