Title: Belly light starts on,but goes off after machine enters testing memory

Any idea why my S2000 Double Diamond 3 reel belly lamp would gradually dim and off after I first turn on machine and the VFD enters checking memory? If I turn machine off and on again it does not relight the belly. Only if I have machine off for a few seconds then back on. But does the same thing. Loose wire? Ballast going bad? TYIA

The control for the florescent belly lamp is the ballast, starter and lamp. One or more of those are bad. Starter may be good as lamp lights. Swap another lamp in. Then try a different ballast if it not the lamp. Check the wiring 1st if you think something got pinched, check the connections too.
