Title: Alpha 1 hot shot variant
Post by: Hertz14 on August 08, 2022, 03:57:47 PM
I’ve exhausted google and the SG site searching-

I’m looking for the name of hot shot blazing 7s variant that I played in TI Vegas about 5 years ago. It was on an alpha video, but different than the standard hot shot blazing 7s- this one’s main was split in two sides, and the two middle reels were yellow if both hit the hot shot bonus- there was a special bonus if this was hit, different than the normal progressives (free spins or repeat spins? I don’t recall.)

I’m not 100%, but I think it was 5 reels right and 5 reels left. They had it set up for 2.00 per play min bet.

I don’t know how to better explain it- but it wasn’t a wheel game.

I remember most of the trip so I’m not making it up!

Awesome. And a pic too! I knew someone out there knew! I remember now the dual button layout and the fact that it was a bigger screen.

Thanks!

There was a member that had a bunch of Alpha for sale in classifieds too. Problem is getting it to work on a common cabinet. Special deck and maybe the oversized cab? Be a cool game to have and get working tho.

Hertz - I will post when I get the game. When I looked at this at Treasure Island.. it just looked like they were using the 14 deck config. Instead of line selection, they used it for one side and x Bet would be for the other. I will let you know.

I broke down and got the game as well...

Loaded last night- no top video on my V20/20 and the button layout is just as you said on a 14 deck: game is non adjustable, 20 line so the line buttons work as bet left, and the bet work as bet right. The game actually doesn’t look bad at all on the 20” screen. Setup on this one was cool too; this is the first alpha game I’ve had that self populates the progressive amounts. All you have to do set the controller in each. Super easy.

This game would be pretty slick in a single screen M9000 with a hot shot top glass. Or even cooler in a elite jumbo vid cab.

I’ll take a photo when I have a chance next. Utilized the lower monitor in it’s entirety, no splits or seams.

OK I bought both software for this cabinet - Hot Shot Your Mine and Ours & Two for the Money. This is what I found out....

1) You can run this on both Alpha 1 and Alpha 2 setup. Alpha 2 is the best since you can config the ideck without changing a button deck or splicing in a max button on a 9 button config..

2) Out of all the Alpha games, this is the first one (two) that is only setup for 1 screen. Even the old games display a picture for the 2nd monitor. So I made a Customer Topper video. I will share with anyone that wants it.

3) If you dont have a 14 button deck, you can only max bet on Game Two. Like I said above, you could splice in to a max bet port and add a button just to activate it one time and keep playing that one at max bet.

Here are some pictures of it running.

That is pretty cool... what are you using for a midi device? I was going to look for something that I could load a photo in it and it would just send that signal to my top screen. I’ve never played around with them but it’d be cool to have and use on my WMS as well when I load top gun, for a slide show of maverick since he’s not on the slot  :cool_thumb_up:

I have some Media Players from Amazon. They are kinda crappy chinese models but less than $30 it does the job. For the Alpha 2 I am running it with the media board that's included in the slot.

Since both of these games dont support the 2nd Monitor, I am using a Y adapter VGA cable to route the image to both the 2nd Monitor and Video Topper.

I will work on the Hot Shot version of the video topper and will report back!
