More sad news... After some investigating around the internet and Facebook, I learned that Barry Fox passed away August 24 2021 in the Philippines. (Thanks to Alan for notifying me that Barry was not responding to PM's.)
He had suffered from some sort of bladder cancer according to his wife.
Here is a nice photo of Barry and his wife from April last year.

Its starting to look dangerous to be your friend....

Yikes!!! Well actually Alan first noticed! Barry was 78 I believe - so he was getting up there. Still - I have a friend who just turned 80 and still speed skates, cycles and paddles. I think I'll start a campaign here on personal fitness.
Still... sad to hear about Barry.
I bought a few EM parts from him years back and, of course, we communicated time to time on the forum.

RIP

Wow, we have lost so many people. RIP Barry.

Spoke with him many times for parts. He always came through with what I needed. RIP Barry.

I used to chuckle when Barry posted pictures of stuff he had in boxes in the back of horse trailors and storage sheds.
Was always amazed at all the stuff he could get. :hail:
He was around NLG almost since the beginning?
Does anybody know what year Joey started NLG?

Barry was one of the few people who really liked Bally EM and Bally E-series machines. a lot of knowledge will be lost with his passing.
He had a library of programs etc. He got tired of repairing the Bally hopper boards when those diodes and transistors went south, so he designed a different version of the board, still available on ebay .
Sorry to here this, condolences to his family.

Barry and I came into the business about the same time. We went to dinner with Lana Locke, a slot distributor in Reno, Nevada at Nugget in Sparks. Lana brought her brother, can't remember his name. That guy picked his nose and farted through the entire meal. Neither Barry or I ever forgot that night. R.I.P.

Somethings you just can't unsee.

Sorry to hear this. I remember him from the old board, but didn't know he was GOS on this one. We've lost too many members lately. Condolences to Barry's friends and family. RIP Barry.

Barry was one of the first people that I contacted when I joined NLG in 2005. I was warned that he was gruff and abrupt. I experienced NONE OF THAT. Barry was alway a businessman and a gentleman. I knew what I wanted and he knew what he had. Just before he moved to Florida I was going to take a trip to Massachuchets to help thin out some of the stuff he had to move. Logistics did not permit us meeting in person. I have met so many good people through NLG. Unfortunately a few have gone on the road to glory. I hope Barry has joined them in the big game room in the sky.
Rest in Peace

Barry was a really nice guy. I picked up a bunch of S+ stuff from him before he left for the Philippines about 8 years ago.
Sad to see another NLG member receive the remembrance placard on the monicker.
RIP my friend

Thought I'd share a photo of a VERY young Barry Fox that I found on his wife's FB page. (I think it's a photo of a photo)
Happy looking man!

We got close to losing another senior member that had open heart surgery Monday. I'm going to make a post for him right now.
