Hardmeter Disconnected - Resolved
« on: December 19, 2020, 04:33:37 PM »

Well I'm not sure I really "fixed" the root issue.....however I did find a workaround that has be up and running!  I traced every wire and connector from the meters to the backplane and could find no visible issue and I unplugged and plugged everything back in just to be sure but the Hardmeter Disconnected error would not go away.  In the manual I saw the section about the meters and jurisdiction settings and noticed that option 2 or "New Jersey" was the only jurisdiction that showed "None" for a meter group.  With nothing to lose I did another clear and reset the jurisdiction to "New Jersey" and the Hardmeter error disappeared!!

I don't understand the different jurisdiction settings and how they impact things but in my case....this work around made the "Hardmeter Disconnected" error go away and my Game Maker is up and running like a champ.

I do have two remaining issues that are not preventing game play that I'll follow up with in different threads.  (Bill validator not working and the horizontal size knob on the monitor is not working so the display hangs off either side of the screen a bit.)

Appreciate this site as it was here that I found the machine manual that even gave me the idea to try changing the jurisdiction setting.

Hello

I am getting this "Hardmeter Disconnected" error when starting up after a P10 clear and set up on my Bally Game Maker.

Not seeing anything obviously unplugged.  Any thoughts on where to troubleshoot?

Thanks

I like casinos and I love slot machines
I lost a fortune, if you know what I mean
Those one armed bandits was the wrong thing to choose
