Bally Monte Carlo Cham II Settings
« on: April 26, 2020, 07:27:00 PM »
Working on a bally Monte Carlo spin and win. Need to reload settings into the Cham II unit. Does anyone have any advice, or could provide a config file to make this easier?

Does your controller use a battery? If so, have you replaced it? To reconfigure the controller you will need Windows XP with the PSP and data cable to talk to the controller. I highly suggest reading through the forums as there are pages of great information under the topic "Mikohn".

When you're looking through posts, also find the data cable config. It's not a standard cable. You usually have to make your own with the correct pin out.
If it ain't broke.....Stop trying to fix it.

Yes, I've replaced the battery with remote holder.  That's what stared the issues with lost config.  Also got the cable pinout downloaded.  Making the cable now.

I've read through several posts, was mainly curious if there was anything specific to the Monte Carlo's top wheel and standalone configuration that I needed to know.  I'm suffering from a bit of information overload, and at the same time a lack of specifics.

The controller is only looking for coin in and progressive win signals, so the wheel shouldn't affect settings.

You say you replaced the battery in the Mikhon. That is a rechargeable battery. I hope you did not replace it with a non rechargeable battery type unless you also disabled the charging system. This would be a fire hazard.
