Title: What to do with an old Universal Ultra machine?
Post by: Host47 on November 24, 2021, 08:50:38 AM
Hello everyone! I recently acquired, at auction, a Universal Ultra Series "Triple Crowns", only to find out that the game board / MPU is missing.  I've had zero luck finding a replacement, and was wondering what to do with this machine now.  It seems too wasteful to take it to the dump.  What do you guys do with retired machines? Should I post in the NLG classifieds here and sell / give away any parts that other Universal owners might need? It seems to have everything else and be in decent shape. Thanks!

Have you posted a WTB here for that MPU?
Have you checked with Alan at KLAR? (NLG member Badbaud)
And, perhaps PM NLG member Uniman, if you haven't already.

Thank you! I just posted the WTB, and emailed KLAR.  I did see Uniman's name come up a lot in my research, but didn't feel right PM'ing him as a newbie.

You can always PM me.
Unfortunately I am no longer into slots and have no idea where to get a board. Very hard to find.......working.

The bill validator basically worthless.
The hopper may sell.
The power supply, if OK, worth the most if you find a buyer.
The glass maybe someone needs to replace a piece.
Other than that not worth much at all.

Not only do you need an mpu you need the chips for that game. I do have copies of those game files.
