NEED TO GET DBZ 145 SS TO ACCECPT A DOLLAR BILL

hello im lost ive tried everything here the unit was cleaned all lights on it wont pull in a dollar when i have self test menu up it has a 0 before bill validator is it suppose to have a 1 like all the coin comparators do and i checked all wires everything else works if anyone could also post a wiring diagram for this that might help and the game is a 96 igt slant top bonus poker everything working cannot get it to take a dollar bill its killing me thanks everyone ive been reading on these for a week no luck

On the IGT S+ or PE+  you need to activate the bill validator using a Set Chip.
You pull out the game chip, put in the set chip, Set the denomination and then put the game chip back in.
When the bill validator is active the bill acceptance bezel lights up.

The front bezel does light all up red and green lights and is the set chip located on the main board

You pull out the MPU.
There are 6 or 7 chips that make up your game set.
On the standard board you have a Game chip, mxo,mro,mbo,mgo and a cap chip.
On the super board you have a program chip, game chip, mxo,mro,mbo,mgo and a capx chip.


You remove the game chip. This will be in a socket labeled game chip.
You insert the SET chip.


Put the MPU back in. Turn on the power and follow the onscreen instruction.
Many people will set the validator to 1c so you can put on 100 credits quickly for a buck but leave all the other settings for the game at 25c.


You then reverse the process and put your game chip back.


If you are buying a SET chip I would also buy A Clear chip.
The clear is used to put the game back to factory settings.

The PE+ is basically the same systems architecture as the S+ and works the same way.
There is also an IGt game bible there that should list all the available games for your PE+

Don’t use the clear chip unless you need to.
Set chip would be used after a clear.
Nothing I have read says you need to use a clear.
If your getting one chip the second is not expensive and you save postage by getting both at once.

Welp could not get to other test screens bc the writing was set up wrong on switchs the red change button on top right of machine had extra wire on terminal after unplugging it it worked and some wiring issues with the dbv thanks to all the forms really helped great community thanks to all you guys rock !!!! So explanation as best as I can say to what fixed the problem with just getting 2 screens on the PE+ slant machine when pressing the white self test button.

The black wire with the blue stripe that is supposed to be used as a jumper if credit switches not used...

The wire in question was connected to the NC tab on the CHANGE Switch. We disconnected that wire and the self test switch button worked as it should. He was able to get to all the test screens. Problem fixed.

My PE+ slant did not have that wire connected to the CHANGE switch or the DEAL/DRAW switch for that matter. We did not check to see where the other end of it was or was not connected on his machine. Don't really care at this point as the machine is working almost 100%. He just needs to get the BV working.
