Title: Alice and the magic mirror slot screen dim
Post by: yngjedi on February 06, 2024, 01:50:33 PM
Hey team!  I’ve got an Alice Magic Mirror 5 reel transmissive screen machine.  The top of the screen is fine but the bottom is really dim.  Is there an easy fix? Replace a backlight or something on the Krystal screen?   :thank_you:

I do NOT have good news for you.
Either a fluorescent tube or inverter ballast is dying, died, or dead.
All of which next to impossible to find, solely because of age.
They just don't make that stuff anymore.
Your best bet to to find another one, and swap it out.
There's absolutely no way to tell how long it will last...they're like lightbulbs....and light bulbs don't last forever.
Otherwise you'll have to take it apart completely, and try to find needles in the proverbial haystack.
