I have a Bally S5500 machine with a DBV-145-SG bill validator. The head is marked with a black "X" written in marker and it cycles at power on but doesn't take any bills in.
I also have an IGT S+ machine with a DBV-45-Ss bill validator. This head is also marked with a black "X" written in marker. It also cycles at power up but won't take in any bills. What are my options to either upgrade or replace both of these? Any vendors out there have parts for sale?

He asked about upgrading them. You could have at least provided him a link to a thread that may answer his question instead of the entire forum. That's not helpful at all and and pretty condescending. Might as well said "Look in the DBV forum dumbass".
OP. Yes both of those can be upgraded to a DBV-200 or WBA with the S+. Contact Jim (Midwest Slots) he can probably provide you what you need to get them working.
