I have been unable to figure out how to run the files I have for MK6 in MAME. I have read many posts about an emulator but nothing telling where to find it. I would also like to find out if there are any emulators out there for any of the other video slots.
I have been playing the PE+ ROM's that I do have just fine. I would like to find more of them if possible.
Thanks in advance

The MK6 games won't actually be playable in MAME for some time unfortunately, the machine hardware is fairly obscure and most of it is not emulated at all, even in other emulated machines (the main CPU is also used in the Dreamcast/Sega NAOMI arcade boards, but that's as far as identical components go). The older MK2.5, MK4 and MK5 games are all playable these days, as long as they aren't bad dumps.
The emulator you might be thinking of (which is not MAME) only runs certain Australian (NSW only) region games, mostly those made before 2005 since the emulator was from circa 2004 and uses a system chip from that era (NSW System 12). There is no equivalent emulator "out there" for the USA platform or other regions.
MK5 is still preliminary and deemed "not working" by MAME standards but the games are playable once they're set up using the set chips (USA games only) and machine options. Currently the MK5 emulation is running about twice as fast as it should (and not even slowing down/lagging like the real machines do!), and sounds are either glitchy, bleeps and bloops or extremely high pitched tones depending on the game. Most NSW/ACT and Venezuela games also hang after 50 spins, requiring you to hit F3 to reset the machine. Bill acceptors are not emulated, the only credit input is currently coins only, and may trigger a coin diverter error as the timing isn't quite correct (toggle the jackpot/reset key or open/close the main door depending on the machine if this happens). The power-down state is not emulated, so they will also show Watchdog Reset when they start up, however this does not affect the games in any way. Hyperlink (e.g. Cash Express) progressives are also not supported, neither are any other forms of external comms (e.g. the casino games using the New Zealand 0700474V base chips, and Queensland games, are stuck in a "machine disabled" state until this is emulated).

I did find the emulator that I was looking for along with a lot of the games a while back. You are correct about them being mostly Aussie games. But they do what I wanted them for, just to play around with at home and not go out to the casinos to give away money. My wife plays them but she mostly likes the newer penny slots that she can play on her cell. I hate living in Las Vegas, too many casinos and too HOT.
I have a few nice slot cabinets that once I have the extra money will be converting them to play MAME PE games and the MKx games along with the Masque DVD's. I play around with them on my main PC for now until I can get a few nice touch screen monitors to build what I want.
Thanks for the info, I did not know a lot of it.

Google "Gaminator" it emulates some of the more current Aristocrat games. it does cost, but don't remember prices off hand.

I had come across that site but I am not looking for an online system. I am doing a stand alone machine without any internet connections. I did want to try it on the Mobile platform but found that it cannot be used in the U.S.A.
Thanks for the suggestion

OK I have been looking more into the Gaminator software. I finally found the RUSSIAN web site that sells it, I downloaded several sample versions to try out. The trials are very limited, all documentation is in Russian and they are not very responsive to emails asking questions ( I have not gotten a single reply). The software seems decent but very slow. Maybe you could tell me what you know of it and any tricks for using it to help me decide. I would hate to spend the money only to discover that this is not what I really want to use. Unfortunately I am on a very limited fixed income and have to be very careful of what I spend.

If More Chilli still shows a blank screen on boot it's the same old emulator from 2004, which has been hacked to death since then. Something that can emulate the actual (real) system is needed in place of the ancient Win32 stuff, that way newer chips (and therefore newer games) including the USA platform can be run.
In other news, a boatload of MK5 titles have recently been added to MAME, replacing a number of bad dumps as well as adding a few unique games. They still run at double speed however they are fully playable once they have been set up, although MAME considers them to be not working due to incomplete emulation (e.g. some games freeze after a number of spins requiring them to be reset, and older games for the USA platform can crash completely during a hand pay, which requires a memory reset, in other words, running a set chip, hitting cashout+service in the set chip menu and going back to the game to reset the memory error).

I've been hunting for the MK6 emulator as well. No luck thus far...
