Title: IGT S2000 Hopper motors bad, will a S+ hopper motor work?
Post by: Amechanic on February 16, 2020, 12:16:20 PM
I have a hopper motor and gearbox question for a S2000.. Are the motors and gearboxes the same units as used on the S+ hoppers? Reason in asking is that I have a motor that I can barely turn with my fingers. I thought it was dry grease in the GB, but once I remove the assembly and opened the gearbox, I found the grease to still be soft. I removed the two screws mounting the motor and tried again to turn it. No luck, it still turns very hard. I have a S+ hopper I was thinking of stealing it motor and GB assembly.

Not the same voltage.

Thanks RB. That’s what I was wondering. I knew the plugs were different, but wasn’t sure about the motors.

The S2000 hopper motor is 24VDC.  The S+ motor is 120 VAC.
