I'm a newbie looking to buy a used slot. It is 3 reel, 3 line pay. I'm just curious which is more popular, 1 one pay vs. 3 line pay. Does one have a higher price point than the other? Thanks for any feedback.

Really no difference in price. It's just a matter of preference. 3 lines will increase your odds of a winning combination but you lose the multiplier for betting multiple coins/credits.

I have single line and three line machines. My guests definitely prefer playing the three line games. You are essentially playing three separate games each time so you're more likely to hit a winning combination. Of course, the payout is 1/3 of a three coin multiplier.
Modern video slots have huge numbers of lines which indicates that they are popular. These machines combine multipliers and multiple lines in one game giving a gambler many options.
I wouldn't over think it; just get a game that appeals to you. You can always get a different type of game for your second machine.
