Title: EPROM Burner for MK5 and MK6

Hi all,


Just seeking some recommendations for a suitable EPROM burner for MK5 and MK6 chips. Is the GQ-4x suitable? Appreciate any advice.

You will need one that can do 42 pin eproms
I use a eetools chipmax 2

I have used the gq4x.  Seems to work fine for these.

How did you use the GQ4X when the zif socket is only 40 pins?
Was there a adapter?
The eproms (27V322) for MK6 are 42 pins

And on the GQ-4x what are the settings you use?
I’ve tried and failed at burning the 27v322 eprom.  :burningresistor:

gq-4x and adaptor, burnt hundreds no problems.

have had problems with the chips not blanking completely first but nothing really with the burner itself.

Just wipe existing ones or buy from ali

Many on ebay. I just did a search. None in US but I have purchased from China ebay sellers and get the items, just takes a few weeks ( Just got other eproms bought 8-24 should be in my mailbox today 9-7 )  Am I missing something?

It's hit and miss.
They are a liquidator type seller.
