MK6/MKVI Game ID/EPROM part number list
« on: June 26, 2022, 06:36:48 PM »
I have been making a list of every known game for many years, and need a bit of help filling in the unknown games for documentation (preferably with pics of the chips showing the labels). If anyone has anything not shown in the list, feel free to post a reply with the game number and/or chip photo.

Rather than making a gigantic wall of text that takes forever to scroll, I have attached a plain text file comprising of over 1000 part numbers plus a few which are yet to be identified. The list isn't even close to complete due to the sheer number of countries/jurisdictions/variations which use entirely different chips.

There are three sets of part numbers for the EPROM chips, USA platform has 7-digit numbers like 0151234, whereas the standard platform (e.g. Australian/European machines) has 8-digit part numbers like 10123411; Jubilee games (standard platform) also have their own set of numbers e.g. 1J123411 (yes, a capital J, not a number). System EPROMs and setchips also have their own unique part numbers which are not part of the game numbers (unfortunately, I don't have a list of these). FWIW, the first two digits (USA) or first digit (outside USA) is the version number and not part of the game ID - non-US games also end with an 11 (or 21, 31, 41 etc.) which is also not part of the ID. I have absolutely no idea what the 5 represents in the middle of the US part numbers (xx5xxxx).

Several years ago, a similar list was attempted by jasongd but ended up archived when the site moved from .net to .com.

Was there a game marked as number 1? So far, the lowest number seems to be Scatter Magic II (USA) or Double Dolphins (NSW), both of which are game #2 on their respective platforms. Note that this list does not contain system or setchip IDs.
