MK-6
« on: August 30, 2022, 03:04:24 AM »
I’m still learning these machine’s and need some help please. This machine was working great. It had been off for a week and when I turned it back on, Display showed (picture included). I found the I/O battery was dead and replaced it. I continue to get this Sram error, Any suggestions?

You probably need to clear the board.

You will need two setchips.
Also may need a two chip extender board depending on which mk6 board you have (XP or non)
The clear procedure is quite involved. There should be instructions on how to do it posted on here.
Which game are you going to be clearing?

This one is a “PHOENIX DYNASTY”. Every one of these machine’s has the EX port on the front of the board. Here’s a picture it. I was reading some threads, and there was something about some machines with 4 or 6 chips and having issues after battery replacement. I have been able to take the 2 boards out of another machine (No credits) and they fire up fine in this machine. Also if You know where I can print out the procedure to do this. I have the “million page manual” for it and I’ve seen nothing in it regarding Ram Clear Procedure and Set-up parameters. Thank You for Your Assistance.

That’s a xp board you have.If I remember correctly you won’t need the two chip extender board. You should be able to put the setchips in where the system chips are.
I’ll have to look to see if I can find the clear procedure.

Any suggestions on where I can purchase the set/clear chips. I have some other MK-6 games that I’m changing batteries on as well. They All have XP boards, Will the same chips work for reprogramming these as well? Or should I list the different game names?
These machines are a new adventure for me, Please excuse my ignorance. I’m reading as much As I can but not understanding All of it.
