This topic appears to have seen it's heyday. But, I just picked up this spotless gem on Friday of last week. Appears all original 906 III board, and not a scratch on the black cabinet. Has what I understand is a common issue, dead battery (dated 1988). New one one the way and we will see how it does.

Keep us posted on what happens!
My CEI Poker just keeps working and working and working. They're well made games.

New battery installed, and everything works like a charm!! There is no burn in on the monitor, and the chrome does not have a mark on it. The black outline on the playfield glass is flaked off in a couple of spots, likely due to being wiped clean over the years. I plan on touching it up with a paint pen or pinstriping tape at some point.
It was purchased from an older couple who have had it in their home for the past 25 years. The cabinet appears factory and VERY well made. Save for a couple of nicks that I may have added when picking it up, the black lacquer is flawless, even the back of the cabinet is finished. Anyone have info on whether or not they were available in this cabinet configuration?
Anyone need a pic of something in particular?

I've never seen a CEI with that style cabinet. It looks great!
Mine is finished all around but no cool black lacquer.
Mine works flawlessly - heavy burn in but it's fine when it's turned on. I reconfigured the settings in my so the cards are dealt face down, then quickly flip up.
Post a shot of your machine, powered up.

What a lucky find. I keep watching for one. Congratulations!
Out of curiosity what are the sounds like on CEI video poker?

Sorry it took so long, I had forgotten to post pics..... The photos don't do it justice. The chrome is flawless and the colors are all bold and bright.

Looks great! My CEI is still going strong... the display/colors are identical to yours. Do you have it set to deal cards face down? It sort of fun since they deal out, then flip up quickly.
-
Yep, I have them dealt face down then flip over one by one. 👍

Glad it's still flipping cards! Mine just keeps on working as well.
