CEI Draw Poker 906III board
« on: August 06, 2019, 03:03:21 PM »
It's in real good shape plays timmed only because someone thought they was a wiring genus. Its a .25 machine but yet the hopper has tokens in it, way smaller then a quarter is. The coin compaitor ( CC-40 ) has been modified ( pics will show ) an this has something in it ive never seen before, a solid state relay instead of an old coil. If its working, which I doubt, everything just falls through. I suspect the coil or whatever is the issue since it looks like it was attempted to be repaired ( super glue, really? ) The numbers I get off of it are: 5U7-6071 115Vac. Where in the World would I find something like that? Is there any way to test it?

Any help would be great and what is the name of that part?

I'm not sure what you mean by "plays timmed."
Did you get this machine in non-working condition? I'm not sure why the comparitor was modified since you can just use one for tokens.
Did you try putting a quarter in the CC and see if it accepts?

I knew about the coin issue but didnt think it was that big of deal. In the menu there's an option for timmed play, 20, 15, 10 min no coins needed. I dunno why it was modded either since the hopper seems to be for .25 but those tokens are much smaller are on the lift. I would think they would jam quite easily. Does  anyone have a guide to the original wiring or an idea on where to look?

The red and black wires on the machine side of that small module covered in plastic is the actual coin in signal.
You can tap those two wires together and make the game see a coin in.
When I get a game in that has a non working bill validator and no coin in assembly I take the red and black wires and connect then to the NO and COM of the change button and the customer can enjoythe game in free play mode. Tap the change button to obtain a coin in.

I gave it a try an it didn't work. There were 3 wires in that plastic cover, Red Black an green. I have two IGT slant tops that are set for free play wired very simular to how this ones suppose to work but another switch was used so the coin out button was disabled an the machine was fooled . Traced all the wires an none are cut. When I took the machine off of free play an set to .25 the machine restarted n the cards were now missing. reset.

You have to CUT the red and black wires on the machine side of the coin mech harness then connect them to a switch as described.
If you use the change button you should remove the change switch off of the housing and insert a switch with no wires on it and connect the N/O and COM terminals with the red and black wires.
