CEI 906 lll Casino Poker hints
« on: August 14, 2019, 02:58:45 PM »
First I would like to personally thank Aldor (Alan Dorman)  :hail: for the recent help with my newly acquired 1989 Casino Poker with a 906 lll board. I thought some of my issues that Alan helped with might help others as well.

1. At first this game was stuck on Test mode.  It seems to recognize all buttons but I couldn't get the game to turn on.  By pushing the left 3 HOLD buttons, turned the game on.

2. The game appeared stuck in the next screen without any cards displayed.  The coin comparitor was not working so no way for me to coin it up.  Apparently this is normal for no cards to appear till a coin is counted or a game just ended.  I thought I might of had a display issue but did not.

3.  The Comparitor has power coming from 2 wires from a 24volt transformer.  The 3 coin circuit wires make up the rest of the connector.  There is a connector with a red and black before the comparitor.  I was able to run these two wires to the mirco switch for BET.  After doing so, the cards now appear and everything seems to work.

4.  Also learned that if BET is held too long,  it will set an ERROR and need reset from the reset switch under the hood cover.

I believe the AC voltage to be incorrect for the comparitor, so until I get around to this the BET will work just fine.
Thanks again to Aldor and the many others from the countless other threads I read.

-Kyle

Hi Kyle it looks like we both happen to have what appears to be the same machine, if you are able to find/come up with any information about it I would greatly appreciate it if you sent it down the pipeline.
