pin 26 on the z80 has to stay low on bootup for .5-2 seconds, then it goes high. if it doesnt do that, it wont boot.  i dont know your board #, but i have an 8116 board that is still driving me nuts, but i do know the reset is good, and the address lines pulse. i dont have a legible schematic to work from.

I may have found the issue with this one I found a bad 7408 up top in the reset section ... I will change that and see if my reset comes back to life and go from there

reset still stuck low.....7400, 08 , 04s around the xtal all check out ok .....pin 26 on the cpu is going to inputs on these gates.... how can the reset line on the CPU ever go high when its tied to inputs ... shouldnt it be off of an output of that circuitry ?? can someone enlighten me on that one ??

Thanks

ive never seen  a reset tied to a 7408. do you have a schematic?  you can pm me, and if we figure it out, we'll post the results. otherwise it just gets boring for everyone :) .
